Product Specialist
Jessica has been part of the product management team since December 2021. She discovered kasasi through a LinkedIn job recommendation and applied for a Junior Product Owner role – and as they say, it's a match.
Jessica, can you tell us how your career at kasasi began?
I started in 2021 as a Junior Product Owner. In my first year, together with my colleague Martin, I took over the management of one of our development teams. After that, I independently led a team as Senior Product Owner for about a year. Since early 2024, following a restructuring of product management, I've been working in my current position as Product Specialist.
What are your responsibilities as a Product Specialist?
My work can be divided into three areas: release management, interface management, and customer support. In release management, I handle the organisational aspects of going live – deployments of new developments, improvements, and bug fixes. I coordinate the various teams to make sure everything runs smoothly, and once changes are deployed, I inform both colleagues and customers via release notes. Another important part of my work is interface coordination – our platform communicates with various telematics hardware providers via gateways, and we currently have over 300 interfaces. And finally, I act as a key account manager for a fixed group of customers.
What excites you about your work?
No two days are alike – and that's exactly what I love. I wanted a job where I can see results and work directly on solutions. That's exactly what kasasi gives me every day.
What does a typical working day look like for you?
I tend to be an early bird, so my working day usually starts at 07:30. Over a cup of rosehip tea, I read through the first emails and check the day's appointments. At 08:40, we have our Daily with all Product Owners, followed by the Scrum of Scrums – a quick overview where each development team reports on what they're currently working on. After that, I get on with my to-dos.
What makes kasasi special for you as an employer?
The family atmosphere is a huge plus for me. I felt at home from day one. The team spirit is truly wonderful. Regular team events – both for the whole company and for individual departments – mean we get to know each other outside of everyday work.
